Background Mrs. Oghwie, Oboakore Bettina is a lecturer in the Mass Communication Department of the University of Delta, Agbor. She attended the prestigious ivory tower- The University of Lagos and bagged a B.sc in Mass Communication in 1997. The quest for further knowledge and self-development; she was compelled to embark on a second academic sojourn to the same University of Lagos for an M.sc, 2015, still in Mass Communication. Presently, she is a registered Ph.d student of The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in the field of Mass Communication with interest in the dissertation topic - Determinants of Adherence to FGM Containment Communication Messages in South-South, Nigeria. Bettina, started off her lecturing career in 2015, as a part time lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State Polytechnic Otefe, Oghara, Delta State. Mrs. Oghwie, Bettina is a member of the following associations- Association of Communication Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ACSPN) and African Council for Communication Education (ACCE). She has some publications to her credit. Her areas of interest are, Broadcasting and Communication for Development (DevCom). Bettina’s hobbies include research, traveling, watching football, cooking, counselling and caring for the less privilege.
